The informal events listed here are not certified or approved by the Bach Centre, so we make no guarantee as to their quality. Bach Centre-approved courses are listed on a separate page.

Most informal courses are organised and taught by independent teachers. Some are open to beginners; others assume a good general knowledge of the remedies.

Booking is direct with the course provider, and is subject to the provider's terms and conditions. Cancellation fees may apply.

Australia

  • Amanda Warner BFRAP teaches weekend animal interest courses in New Zealand and Australia. Amanda, who is a qualified companion animal behaviourist and veterinary nurse, draws on the latest research into animal behaviour to show how to use the Bach remedies more effectively when treating Animals. India

An introductory course on Bach Remedies will be held on 13th and 14th February 2012 in Anjuna, Goa, India. Students will explore the 38 flowers and their uses, learn how to choose and prepare the remedies, discover the philosophy and approach to healing of Dr Bach and choose remedies for themselves, friends and family. Timing is 10am to 5.30pm with a break for lunch. Registration is requested latest one week before the course, and fee is 6000 IRS. Contact Veronique Robert for more details.

Japan

  • Four BIEP trainers in Japan have started a Bach Circle that meets once a month in Tokyo. The meetings are open to students on any Bach Centre-approved course, and anybody else with a good working knowledge of Dr Bach's system. The group is called Olea Flora - and you can find out more about them on their blog.
  • "Emotional healing for pets and owners" is a workshop run by Junko Senda BFRP, BFRAP, a BIEP trainer, animal practitioner and member of the Japanese Animal Hospital Association. Open to anybody with a good basic knowledge of the remedies; Level 3 students and BFRPs receive Continuing Education certificates direct from the Bach Centre under the BC-ACE scheme.

New Zealand

  • Transition. - A workshop looking at the issues and challenges facing those diagnosed with terminal illness, or those approaching the end of their lives. The aim is to offer emotional support and information to carers, relatives and the terminally ill, with the emphasis on using Bach remedies as support and comfort. £50.00.
  • Focus on mental well-being. - An exploration of complementary support for the mentally unwell. This will cover nutrition for brain health and a detailed exploration of the stress response and its requirements re nutrition. The use of the Bach Remedies in supporting people living with emotional distress and mental illness will be discussed. This workshop is aimed at those with little practical experience relating to mental health, and at those wishing to develop and share existing knowledge and experience. £50.00.
  • Inspired. - How are Dr Bach's spirituality and philosophyreflected in our work, existence and experience? £50.

  • The BFG, or Bach Friendly Group, is a gathering of interested and interesting people who have a passion for the remedies and want to bounce ideas around and discuss things amongst friends. Edinburgh...

  • "Let's-talk-Bach" group meets in Edinburgh four times a year. Anyone who's completed Bach level 2 or above is very welcome to come and join. Each meeting we choose two different remedies to discuss (very informally) and all come away having learned something new. Cost £5 (to cover room-hire and coffee/tea).   • "Back to Bach" day is a follow-on from the (very enjoyable) "Let's talk Bach" day in August 2005 which led to the "Lets talk Bach" group being set up.   • 25th February 2012 - Help and Support: an opportunity to gain some supportive peer supervision on someone you may have been helping with the remedies; if you are a practitioner, looking at how you can get regular support, how you hold confidentiality & maybe how to set up your own group.
  • 14th April 2012 - Mental Health Problems: using the remedies with people diagnosed with a mental health problem such as depression, dementia, bi-polar disorder, etc. How can practitioners work ethically and confidently?
  • 7th July 2012 - Spiritual Development with the Remedies: looking at Dr. Bach’s philosophy about our spiritual journey and how the remedies play an important role.
  • 22nd September 2012 - Shadow Side and Buried Stuff: bringing light to aspects of ourselves we don’t always look at. How can we become whole using the remedies? Includes Dr. Bach’s philosophy and some psychology.
  • Bach remedy groups. - These take place in Gravesend once a month on a Wednesday afternoon and evening. Friendly groups of practitioners and non-practitioners which are supportive, fun and an excellent way to deepen your knowledge of any aspect of Bach work. Come and join us!
  • One-to-one tutorials. - If you are unable to get to a group or class this could be the answer. Bach remedy one-to-one tutorials take place in Gravesend at a time and day to suit you. You can choose what you want to focus on, such as applying remedies to particular user groups, eg, children, teenagers, the elderly, working with terminal illness, loss/ bereavement, the body/mind link, how to give a talk to a group, or consultation issues such as being an effective listener, setting and keeping boundaries, keeping case notes, and confidential support with clients.
